Gumball Congratulates Its 2024 Signal Award Winners!
Handsome, Newcomers, Chinwag, and Seek Treatment take home 6 awards in all!

The third annual Signal Awards announced their 2024 winners on October 29… and we’re thrilled to share that four (4) Gumball shows were among them, taking home six (6) awards in all!

What are the Signal Awards?

Created to showcase the best and brightest in the podcast industry, winners are chosen by members of the Signal Awards Judging Committee, who evaluate shows based on criteria that include concept, content & writing, creativity, craft and even engagement strategy. (We love an award that recognizes listener engagement as creativity!

What does it mean to win?

Like any coveted industry award, getting a Signal is great news for a show’s creators. They symbolize recognition and respect from industry peers and colleagues, and a major accomplishment for the production team. Plus, it’s cool: who doesn’t love a trophy?

But these awards are also great for a show’s listeners… and its advertisers. Listeners can feel good knowing they’re committing their time to relevant, high-quality content. And advertisers can trust that they’re investing in shows that are breaking through the noise.

Which Gumball shows won?

This year, the Signal Awards announced a focus on culture, recognizing the shows that are shaping and defining our cultural habits, and whose unique voices are lending fresh perspectives to our shared conversation.

In our humble opinion, the Gumball shows honored this cycle are prime examples:

About the show:

Chin-wag: to have a chat, a friendly conversation. Actor Paul Giamatti and Stephen Asma, author and philosopher, join forces for a freewheeling series of conversations that dive deep (like, really, really deep) into the wilderness of the mind. Featuring prominent guests from diverse fields, Chinwag is esoteric in the best way possible. Paul and Stephen delve into anything and everything: What's the hollow earth theory? Are we living in a simulation? Are watershed moments real? Is Bigfoot interdimensional? Science, dreams, the occult, imagination, philosophy, magic mushrooms…it’s all fair game! Unexpected, hilarious, and maybe even profound — Chinwag is all about having a really, really good chat.

Seek Treatment with Cat & Pat

Headgum Podcast Network

About the show:

A playful, fun, and flirty podcast where beloved and criminally under-famous comedians Cat Cohen and Pat Regan talk about "boys, sex, dating, and love." Each week, Cat and Pat invite a non-boring guest to dish the dirt on living, laughing, and yeah…loving. They're just two shy slutty psychos who finally answer the question, "what if a gay guy and a girl...were friends?" If you don't listen....Seek Treatment!

Congratulations to these innovative, original Gumball creators and their show teams… and congrats to the sponsors and listeners who have helped make these victories possible. You represent the best in podcasting, and you rock.
